The Hawaii Residential Retreat is a potent opportunity to deepen an authentic spiritual walk, to cultivate true relationship with the Beloved One. This is a Retreat of immersion: living awake to the presence of God in every moment, every task, and every day.  Meetings with Vanessa four times each day guide the Retreat experience…times of solitary Inquiry in nature help deepen roots in the One Relationship…living in community provides an opportunity to make God real in everyday life helping to realize God in the mundane.

The alchemy of the environment, the retreat space held, and the willingness of those who give themselves to the experience creates a beautiful sanctuary for transmutation and healing.

This retreat is a genuinely transformative experience. Come and dive fully into the One Essential Relationship.

COMMUNAL EXPERIENCE: The Retreat is held at a beautiful beach house overlooking the Pacific Ocean, on Manini Beach in Kealakekua Bay, South Kona, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Those attending live communally with Vanessa and 11 others for 11 days, sharing in the Teachings, meals, playtime, cleaning, and all the simple tasks one engages in throughout a day. This Retreat is deeply communal, with limited private accommodations and fully shared common areas…but an entire ocean in which to be alone with God.

THE ISLAND:  Hawaii offers an unparalleled environment supporting deep healing and essential rest, offering a rich canvas to explore the Body of God.  The Bay on which our
Retreat house resides is home for spinner dolphins (nai’a) and wintering grounds for humpback whales (kohola). The dolphins are playful and engaging, inviting you to swim near them respectfully.  The whales are mating and calving at this time of year: they are often seen breaching out of the water, and their song can be heard beneath the waves.  Kealakekua Bay is also home to a living coral reef and the amazing sea life that thrives there: kayaks and snorkeling gear are available to explore the Ocean. Walks out to the point for sunset invite contemplation and gratitude. A free day during the Retreat allows for pilgrimage to the Volcano, home of the Goddess Pele, and other adventures around the Island, in the bay, and within your own heart.

COST:  The cost of the Retreat ranges from $1,500 - $3,000 per person, depending upon chosen accommodation. The Retreat is limited to 10 people, and is expected to fill quickly.  Please let us know as soon as possible if it is your wish and intention to attend the Hawaii Retreat. Space can be secured by deposit of half the cost, paid at the time of registration. The balance is due in full by February 7, 2010. Payment plans and partial scholarships may be available.

We invite all who feel called to this  profound experience to give themselves to the opportunity. For more information or to register for the Hawaii Retreat, please call 808-896-7748 or email Heather@amalafoundation.org.
