The Sanctuary, Community Center and grounds at the Amala Foundation are home to events, workshops, weddings, baby showers, memorial services, engagement parties, wedding receptions, intimate gatherings and classes focusing upon yoga, wellness and children’s education.

“The space is absolutely gorgeous. I’m not just talking about the look, although it is amazing. It’s the feel of the place. You get a sense of peace and fellowship here. The money spent here also goes to a great cause.

I hosted a co-ed baby shower. Normally, those events last about 2 hours or so. We still had a full house from 5:30 up until I got everything cleaned up at midnight. Many said that they didn’t want to leave.

The price is right and I wasn’t lacking for anything. I had use of the kitchen to warm up the food and the fridge to store the cake until it was time to serve it. There is no need to decorate. The rooms and chairs were beyond comfortable.

Any future party will definitely be held here.”

“I first contacted Amala because I was looking for a large, available space to teach some early morning yoga classes. Kerry was quick to get back to me, and always courteous, kind and professional.

I was blown away when I saw the space. It’s simply gorgeous. One wall of the room is entirely windows, looking out on a beautiful back-yard setting with massive oak trees and the most hypnotic windchimes I’ve ever heard.

The room itself has sprung hardwood floors, perfect for any type of movement, and plenty of facilitation amenities, including candles, an ipod dock, yoga mats, sitting cushions and an earthen jar water cooler.

You will feel it yourself when you enter the courtyard and feel your body relax. As a teacher of conscious movement, I feel 100% alignment with my values and the venue that supports what I have to bring. For me this is rare. The space is welcoming, clean and beautiful.

Provided by the space are, cushions for sitting, large carpet to be used or rolled up, yoga mats (about 10) and the outside area has a variety of places to sit, write, play and visit. Two magnificent live oak trees inhabit the outdoor space, and one is so generous and easy for kids of all ages to climb and enjoy.

Event Space Rental Rates

Both the Sanctuary & the Community Center have the same rates Monday-Thursday.  Each individual space rents for:

1 hour – $75 (minimum 3 hour block)

*Please note: On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, we typically only rent the entire grounds.  Some exceptions are made.  Please see below for All Grounds Rental Rates.

All Grounds Rental

It is also possible to rent the entire grounds of the Amala Foundation for your next Austin event including weddings, celebrations and more.  All Grounds rental allows for exclusive use of the property including the Sanctuary, Community Center & Outdoor Spaces.

Friday & Sunday All Grounds Rental Rate
$150/hr (minimum 3 hour block)
$1200 for the entire day.

Saturday All Grounds Rental Rate
$200/hr (minimum 3 hour block)
$1500 for the entire day.
